The 5th Eco-schools Graduation is Marked In Style.

The 2010 eco-school graduation was celebrated on 10th july, in Nairobi prmary school. The event dubbed the most successful, was atteneded by the P.C of Nairobi, director Keringet, director UNICEF, KCB rep, Safaricom rep, ministry of education, NEMA, the Adminstration Police, graduating schools and people from all walks of life. The event was crowded with coporate companies that peched tents to showcase and advertise their products and services. The event so more than 160 schools graduating and receiving Eco-school flags, trophies among other coveted prizes. The event would not have been colourful and entertaining without the performances by the Black Marimba, adminstration police choir, Kenya High, Braeside school among others.
Eco Schools and Leaf Trainings a Success.

On 20th and 21st May 2010, KOEE staff - Mr. John Wabwire, Mr. Elijah Odundo and Mr. Fredrick Odinga conducted a successful Eco School and Leaf teacher‘s training workshop at Museum Hall in Kisumu. The training workshop was officially opened by Mr. Nyamenya Peter who is in charge of the Kisumu Museum. The aim of the training was to impart skills and experiences on promotion of education for sustainable development. About 80 participants, teachers from Western and Nyanza Province, CBO representatives and government department, who were in attendance, were introduced to Eco School and Leaf Programme which are international programmes runned by Foundation for Environmental Education and coordinated by Kenya Organization for Environmental Education (KOEE). The participants were further trained on how to localize curriculum, manage micro project, how to mobilize for fund for their micro project and tree nursery establishment in schools. The participants also got an opportunity to view the KOEE educational materials displayed.
