WORLD ENVIROMENTAL DAY

WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY (WED) is the United Nations flagship environmental event, celebrated each year on 5th June. The United Nations General Assembly established the World Environmental Day in 1972 to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment.
Purpose: To focus worldwide attention onto the importance of the environment and stimulate political attention and action.
